It is hard to believe that Apple would pick this name, especially after MadTV did a skit making fun of this. At the time they called the new fictional Apple product the iPad. Yes thats right you read it here, the same exact name Apple picked to call their new product. Too funny!

Call it iPad or iTampon or whatever you like. The fact is that Apple comes out with some killer products, so regardless of the name or the jokes attached to it…it’ll be flying off the shelves. Apple is a hugely popular brand so it can get away with it. For us little guys, picking a good name for ourselves or our products and services can make us or break us. So do your market research even if it means bribing your friends and family to get together around the dining room table to brainstorm.
